<div dir="ltr">I raised the issue of the OO-IO document because anyone seeking further information about OO-IO will look for the document. By incorporating OO-IO terminology into ISO 14721 we are tacitly endorsing OO-IO. is useful for bit preservation but NOT only for bit preservation. The OO-IO model is based on the IR-BR model which covers bit preservation – but the OO-IO model is a result of the international research project (described in the papers) which found that there
was a need for a more general approach covering other areas as well.<u></u><u></u></span></p>
