is useful for bit preservation but NOT only for bit preservation. The OO-IO model is based on the IR-BR model which covers bit preservation – but the OO-IO model is a result of the international research project (described in the papers) which found that there
was a need for a more general approach covering other areas as well.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

mention OO-IO in ISO 14721. If you haven't read it recently, I encourage you to read the OO-IO document before our discussion on Tuesday.<o:p></o:p></p>
