This is mostly related to a compliance motivation with externally imposed policies and all relevant activities in the execution phase should therefore also take place on the basis of compliance with the policies defined in legal, contractual, and similar documents related to the context of the project.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'><span lang=EN-US>If this point is not clear then we should re-examine the text. As the title suggests this is about preparing information to ensure long term usability – and this is done by collecting various types of “metadata”. There may be some compliance issues which, if not followed, might present long term usage, but such issues are not the main reason for collecting such documentation (the types of which are listed in section 4). At the moment there is nothing in the document about how the data may actually be managed.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:0cm;margin-right:0cm;margin-bottom:12.0pt;margin-left:36.0pt'><span lang=EN-US>Furthermore, we could support to improve the reference to the functional entities of OAIS in the IPELTU draft. The result of the Planning Process could, e.g., be that policies can be implemented in the framework of the reference model of OAIS and its set of Functional Entities.<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal style='margin-bottom:12.0pt'><span lang=EN-US>I don’t see how the OAIS Functional Entities are relevant in this document since this is about what happens when a project is creating the information, some of which may need to be preserved.
