      I've only read the first part, but I loved the phrase
      "introduction of a preservation layer into existing repository
      systems" which has echoes of the issues we're finding with the
      CCSDS CESG.  Of course the "introduction" isn't likely to be a
      simple operation, but if medics can do heart transplants, we
      should be able to describe the way the Preservation Layer can be
      mated with a Mission Archive. <br>
