This allows us to omit mention of “Knowledge Area” which PMBOK uses. We did talk about just using Topic but to put that in the Glossary seemed too general. <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>I've added "Project Phase" - copying the PMBOK definition, and re-drawn the diagram Mark added.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>By the way, I looked through the PMBOK book and although it is not in the glossary, PMBOK says “Knowledge Areas represent a complete set of concepts, terms, and activities that make up a professional field, project, management field, or area of specialisation”.
