<p style="margin:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">at the moment, business travel to foreign countries for DLR employees is not impossible but requires a special permission. This permission will most likely not be given
for meetings which can also be held remotely, so - unfortunately - the answer by DLR is also NO.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
<p style="margin:0cm;margin-bottom:.0001pt"><span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The only possibility I personally see is to get this approval not for a big group of people for the technical meetings, but just for myself to attend the CMC meetings
which have a much smaller audience.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

I will be starting a new poll to select a date in September for the CMC’s midterm meeting. CNES requires a decision about hosting the fall CCSDS meetings in-person as quickly as possible. I would ask that each CMC member reply to this email sharing their agency’s

Working Groups have decided that they will meet remotely this fall regardless of CCSDS’s decision. I know of two other working groups that are currently discussing this possibility. Please take this into consideration when forming your agency’s position.</span><o:p></o:p></p>

from NASA-JPL will be possible. Though NASA-GSFC NASA-MSFC, and NASA-JSC attendance would be possible under their current policies, we expect this not to be the case by 18 October 2021. The United States Centers for Disease Control has placed the United States
and France on their list of countries with Very High risk of COVID transmission. We do not expect travel for non-mission critical events to be possible beginning shortly.</span><o:p></o:p></p>
