<br><span style=" font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial">After several years
of service with CCSDS, Dan Smith (NASA), the current SM&C WG Chair,
will retire by the end of March. </span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial">In addition, Sam Cooper
(ESA), the current SM&C WG Deputy Chair, has voiced his desire to step
down from his management role to focus more on the technical work of the
WG.</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial">In accordance with
the CCSDS Organization and Processes, CCSDS A02.1-Y-4, Sec 2.3.3.4, in
my function of MOIMS Area Director, I kindly ask the CCSDS member agencies
for candidates for the following positions:</span>

<li><span style=" font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial">SM&C WG Deputy
Chair.</span></ul>
