<span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">Dear All,</span><span style=" font-size:12pt">
</span><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif"><br>
following the cancellation of the CCSDS Spring Meeting in Huntsville, the
CESG has assessed an approach for virtual (remote) WG's Technical Meetings
and CESG Meeting.</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">Two options have
been proposed :</span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">1) either to schedule
the WG Technical Meetings during the already foreseen week (4 to 8 May
2020), or</span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">2) to have
an extended duration of the Technical Meetings, lasting three weeks,
that is from 4 to 22 May </span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif"><i>Note: it
is acknowledged that some WGs may decide not to hold any remote session
- due to e.g. different time zones of the participants .</i></span><span style=" font-size:12pt"><i>
</i></span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">The (virtual)
CESG Meeting will be held after completion of the Technical Meetings, in
replacement of the face-to-face CESG Meeting</span><span style=" font-size:12pt">
</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">The Area Directors
have addressed all the above within the respective Areas. Some Areas have
reported to me that option 1 is preferable, for other it is option
2 .</span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">Still, it is ok
that each Area and each WG establish and run their preferred
schedule, provided the CESG Meeting takes places at completion of the three-weeks
period, thus including the outcome of the Areas that have opted for option
2.</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif"><u>To WG
Chairs and Deputies</u>: please schedule your meeting(s) as per your
Area's preferred approach. Please deliver your Report to the AD at the
latest by 22nd May.</span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif"><u>To CESG members</u>
: please prepare the Area reports, in the usual format, by 27 May. The
CESG meeting will be scheduled right afterwards ( I will issue a dedicated
e-mail on that)).</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">The CMC Meeting
will be held via teleconf as well, 16 to 18 June.<br>
In that occasion, either the ADs or myself will preset the Area Reports,
just like in the face-to-face CMC meeting.</span>
<br>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">I hope we will
see each other face-to-face at the Fall Meeting in Toulouse.</span>
<br><span style=" font-size:10pt;font-family:sans-serif">Take care and
stay healthy.</span>
