<br><font size=2 face="Arial">this note aims at reporting on the status
of the new Mission Planning and Scheduling WG and consulting you on its
leadership.</font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial">The WG is approved and currently there are
2 candidates for the position of chair and deputy chair:</font>
<br>
<ul>
<li><font size=2 face="Arial">Mehran Sarkarati (ESA)</font>
<li><font size=2 face="Arial">Steve Chien (NASA).</font></ul>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial">Both the above persons have outstanding qualifications
and background in the field of Mission Planning and Scheduling. I will
soon distribute more information. </font>
<br>
<br><font size=2 face="Arial">According to the CCSDS rules, I, as MOIMS
AD, have to make a proposal on the WG leadership for CESG's approval. In
order to be fair with all CCSDS member Agencies, I would like to know if
there is any additional candidate. Please respond before the 02Sep15 and,
in case you propose some one, please provide some information on his/her
relevant experience and background.</font>
