A couple topics for discussion (they fit within the agenda somewhere, I think):

VCID reservation – requested by LunaNet – Personally, I’m not wild about it

SANA – is there a need for multiple copies (caches) of some registries? Are there protocols that assume the ability to validate against the “official” registry (I’m thinking perhaps security protocols might need an “authenticateable identity”).
If you’re at the Moon, and there’s no current link back home “through the network” you’d need a cache (much like DNS name resolution).

With respect to LunaNet - We checked with Jim Schier and Cheryl Gramling this morning, and while there is a LunaNet Interface spec (LNIS) there is no current LunaNet Architecture Definition Document. There’s pictures on their slides, and a paper by Dave Israel,
et al., from 5 years ago.

One thing that came up a few times this morning in System Architecture WG, and might be worth discussing, is that there’s not always a clear stakeholder or customer for the various standards – For some (link layer Blue books) there’s someone who cares – someone
implementing a conformant version and showing interoperability; but for others, the actual audience is less clear. The other thing is that for some books, the target audience may have changed over the years.

And yes, I see that I’m on a tiger team, selected in the usual way “you seemed to be interested in this area”, for the yellow book revision ideas.
